Inclusion at KBZA

At Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Awal School (KBZA), we believe that every child is unique and deserves the opportunity to thrive in a nurturing, inclusive, and empowering environment. Inclusion is not a department, it is a living, breathing part of our school culture. It is visible in every classroom, every corridor, and every conversation.

Rooted in Emirati values and driven by global best practices, our inclusive framework embraces the academic, social, emotional, and behavioral development of every learner. We recognize the strengths and needs of all students, ensuring that no learner is left behind.

Our commitment is reflected in our practice from early identification and tailored education plans to co-teaching, therapeutic services, and emotional development programs.

The Inclusion Team at KBZA collaborates closely with teachers, parents, and external specialists to provide targeted, high impact support. Through data informed interventions, student voice, and a reflective practice culture, we build learning pathways that are accessible, ambitious, and responsive to the needs of every individual.

Our inclusive approach is grounded in shared and distributive leadership. From the Principal to classroom assistants, inclusion is everyone’s responsibility. We regularly engage in professional development, interdepartmental planning, and cross-functional meetings to ensure that our strategies are cohesive and evolving.

We take pride in our robust monitoring systems and the creative use of internal and external resources. Whether through assistive technology, differentiated instruction, or enrichment for gifted learners, our students are seen, heard, and empowered.
